Hey all.. I have tried to get Chameleon to load but I am unlucky.

I recently updated to windows 11 and since cannot get it to open up. I have tried to remove it and reinstall and numerous other way to fix it. Can someone help me please.

I turned UAC back on to see if that was it but it again didnt work. It simply wont open up.

I can guaranteed this fix something but suggest do a clean install not a upgrade.
Windows 11 itself have a large number of bugs, and update increase the problems compared with clean install.
If you can backup your files and do clean install probably that fix the problem and is extremely highly suggested start form 0 and not do a upgrade.

I already work on windows 11, for sure the upcoming update will be compiled under Windows 11.
Maybe you can wait few days and try the new upcoming version, I dont thing fix anything related to your case but maybe.

For sure try uninstalling the midi driver, then uninstall chameleon, then restart.
Then try install again.

Observations..

Windows 11 may sometimes indicate that the process is suspended in the task manager.

Windows 11 launches Chameleon but I can't access the menu or select the correct monitor or use my usual screen recorder to capture it.

Laptops.

Windows 10 suspends Chameleon on a brand new low spec quad core budget laptop even when multiple settings are deactivated.

@ Pablo! Many budget laptops have a maximum amount of ram at 4GB or 8GB which cannot be upgraded.Could you please create a video so we know what to expect on any new releases and

also recommend minimum ram specs for templates which have high resolution images & decoration?

Could you also please reactivate my usage license as it's worn out?. Thanks.

Chameleon need to run in proper way Windows PRO , the only one prerequisite is Windows® 10/11 PRO (32 or 64 bits) and of course highly suggested a touch device.
Anyway I cant confirm the problem you have is directly related to windows home or not.
Also I see app not run as admin, what is needed, maybe you have UAC disabled or some kind of tweak. I not see menu answering if you want to run the app with elevated permission anywya you run as admin what is the same or should be.
I not listed UAC as prerequisite duet there is no good reason to disable UAC.

The main menu hidden issue is a bug, I finally can reproduce here, so next update fix that, ASAP i have that ready I inform to you.
About the crash you observe I cant confirm at least not for now is directly related to windows home, but can be, and can confirm not have relation to amount of RAM memory.

About images, usually there is no any problem with RAM if you use few super high resolution images in a efficient way.......example if you are trying to skin, the best way is build your design as a single image covering all screen, you can design in photoshop or similar software and then using your objects in the places you want or need, I add load image as background soon in order can be used in this way. 
Anyway I never ever create Emulator and or Chameleon with the idea of use in a skinable way, and at least for now and the future there is no intention to move to that direction. 
Chameleon is a 32bit app so the maximum memory can use is 4GB probably less before run out of memory.</r>

Hi. I have disk image restored the desktop Pc & laptop to it's original states so they are operating without any extreme tweaks or alterations. Here are some full screen captures.

Chameleon Version E on Windows 10 laptop with unaltered settings. The software did launch but vanished.

The software is suspended in task manager again.

The Antimalware Service Executable process in the task manager can peak & prevent programs from operating. Windows update also resets it if you tweak it which makes it harder to diagnose.
The Cpu is at 100% here unless I deactivate many settings like I did in examples in my previous post.

I'm still using an older version Chameleon on Windows 8.1 on the same Desktop pc as Windows 10 & 11 are too troublesome with my other software & licenses.

Your CPU will be always 100% or near, the CPU you are using is just a little bit more faster than an older ATOM, Pentium 4200N
Will be useful if you send the crash logs provided by Windows event log viewer, the videos really not are useful.

Take a look windows log, application, and probably we can have some extra info.

This tools for sure I stay ensure catch the problem reported by Sam Hocking but no idea about august young and you tiffic. 
In case Chameleon show any error message on screen now, please take a screen capture, picture or just take a note of exact message and post here, is possible you see that message only one time and then ever again so is important if appear on Chameleon startup pickup the message.

If the problem continue, open EVENT VIEWER tool, got to windows logs, applications an post here the crash log. 
Window event viewer can bring some light to the problem.</r>
