Release from control when in 'Locked' mode by moving mouse a pre-defined distance.

I was wondering if the following was possible:

When in 'Locked' mode. It would be nice if you could release from the control by moving the mouse a certain distance, as well as to be able to set the mouse distance in which it triggers the release, instead of having to click the MS Dial.

Locked mode prevents the mouse from moving, so not sure how you could release focus of the dial by moving the mouse cursor? If you want to move the mouse to release, why not just press the mouse button instead moving the mouse? Perhaps I misunderstand the intention of this?

On a similar feature request, I have often wondered if there could be a time interval you could set where focus from the MS dial on the control is released if the MS dial hasn't been rotated for a specified number of milliseconds. e.g. release control after 1000ms if there has been no user interaction. This would prevent having to click the dial or mouse to release and you could then move to the next control.

Just downloaded and used Elephant for the first time. Very good stuff! But I'm also wondering about Sam Hocking's request above. If there was a feature like he describes where the mouse/dial releases the knob/fader/etc after a certain number of milliseconds that would be awesome. I'm frequently moving on to the next dial or synth parameter and I've forgotten to click the wheel to release the first knob. Thanks!

Have to wait 1 second to release the mouse after every interaction makes the usage a terrible experience.
Release with a simple click of the dial s more than ok. If the number of milliseconds is reduced to really lower values to make the experience of usage acceptable..... then a fight between release or interaction will start, and will be complicated to handle on a soft/slow dial rotation.

Locked: if this option is activated, when you operate the dial on any of the mouse behaviors as vertical, horizontal, combined etc, the mouse is locked preventing accidental movement of the mouse create interference in the object under control. Under this mode, the mouse and keyboard is locked when Surface Dial is rotated and some mouse mode is selected.

If the plan is to use the locked mode then release it with a dial click.
With some practice locked more is something really not useful.........anyway, I will take a new look at this in some moment, but slow movements create a lot of problems.

For sure, dont take my comment as a negative comment, I will take a look again on this soon.
