# Zonea

> Zonea is a multi-touch custom MIDI controller app for Windows, made by PabloMartin. You design your own control surface with faders, knobs, buttons, encoders, XY pads, VU meters and video monitors, then use it to control DJ software, DAWs, streaming and video tools on a touchscreen.

Key facts:

- Zonea runs on Windows (64-bit x86). Windows on ARM arrives in September, followed by a macOS beta at the end of September and a Linux beta in October. One license per operating system.
- It sends MIDI (through its own virtual MIDI port), keyboard hotkeys, OSC and HTTP commands, and controls OBS Studio directly over its WebSocket API.
- It receives MIDI for feedback: sliders, dials, meters and buttons can mirror the state of your software.
- Layouts span up to 144 pages, support custom PNG/GIF skins, a built-in library of over 50,000 vector icons, and live video on the surface via NDI, Spout and OMT.
- Dedicated integration scripts for Ableton Live and Bitwig Studio provide a session clip grid with real clip colors and names.
- Zonea is a commercial app with a one-time payment and no subscription. A license is currently $14.99 (limited founders pricing).
- Free mode: Zonea is fully free to use while Mixxx, Ardour, LMMS, OpenMPT or OBS Studio is running. Free mode works with any version of each app, including builds you compiled yourself.
- The trial has no timer, no watermark and requires no account.
