Pablo Martin
I am Pablo Martin, a software and hardware innovator focused on the future of touchscreen controllerism for DJs, producers, VJs, and live performers.
For years, I have dedicated my work to redefining how artists interact with music and visual performance technology through multitouch interfaces, low-latency systems, and performance-oriented design. My projects combine creativity, engineering, and real-world stage experience to create tools that feel intuitive, expressive, and futuristic.
I have developed advanced touchscreen performance concepts, customizable interfaces, realtime visual systems, MIDI technologies, and next-generation workflow ideas designed to give artists greater freedom and control during live performances. My vision has always been centered on removing technical limitations and allowing performers to focus entirely on creativity and audience connection.
Today, I continue independently under the Pablo Martin name, researching and developing new technologies related to DJ software, multitouch interaction, realtime rendering, AI-assisted creative tools, advanced MIDI integration, and immersive live performance experiences.
With a constant drive for innovation and experimentation, I continue pushing the boundaries of digital performance technology, helping artists explore new forms of expression and deeper interaction with their audiences.
I created 123TuWeb as one of my first internet ventures in Argentina, building a pioneering web hosting service focused on making website creation and online presence more accessible during the early 2000s internet boom in Latin America.
I also created 123Vende, a pioneering online buy-and-sell platform developed in Argentina during the early 2000s to simplify online classifieds and digital commerce before modern marketplace apps became mainstream.
Before I became recognized in the world of touchscreen controllerism, everything began with MonoTouchLive, a pioneering project I created in the mid-2000s.
MonoTouchLive was one of the world’s first touchscreen MIDI controller concepts designed specifically for Ableton Live. I began developing it in mid-2005 as a practical and forward-thinking response to a major limitation of the time: the near non-existence of dedicated hardware controllers for Ableton Live. After years of live performance experience and experimenting with Ableton on stage since 2002, I temporarily stepped away from Traktor to focus entirely on redefining live control.
On September 4, 2006, I publicly released MonoTouchLive for the first time. The project introduced a radically new way of interacting with music by using touch as the primary performance interface. At a time when touchscreen performance was still largely unexplored, MonoTouchLive quickly gained recognition as one of the earliest and most influential touchscreen MIDI solutions for Ableton Live.
The project soon attracted support from forward-thinking artists, including Maceo Plex (Eric Estornel under his Maetrik alias), who became one of the first high-profile artists to publicly support MonoTouchLive, helping validate the concept and bring it into the spotlight.
MonoTouchLive laid the conceptual and technological foundation for everything that followed. While it was not officially part of Pablo Martin Inc., it represented the moment when my core vision was born: breaking away from physical limitations and transforming touchscreens into expressive, performance-grade musical instruments.

SmithsonMartin was a technology company and brand focused on developing touchscreen controllerism solutions for DJs, producers, and live performers. I founded it with the goal of bringing multitouch screens into the world of musical performance at a time when almost nobody was exploring the technology professionally.

Woplay IPTV Service was an early internet television platform that I created for San Juan Cable Color during the rise of broadband internet in Latin America. The idea behind Woplay was to make online video streaming and internet-based television more accessible at a time when streaming technology was still in its early stages and far from mainstream adoption.
I also serve as Head of the Technical Department for a multimedia group based in San Juan, Argentina, including Telesol TV, MIL20 TV (radio and television), Diario El Zonda, Telesol Diario, and Del Sur Diario.
