Emulator, Elephant and Chameleon
If you are looking for Emulator, Emulator PRO, Elephant or Chameleon, or for SmithsonMartin, you are in the right place. Those products were created by Pablo Martin, and today that work continues as Zonea.
Zonea is the current touch control surface by PabloMartin: you design your own faders, pads and buttons on any touchscreen and control MIDI, OSC and OBS with them, on Windows, macOS and Linux. It is free to try.
What happened to each product
Emulator and Emulator PRO
2010 to 2012, SmithsonMartin
The first multitouch software for DJs and the modular version that let you build your own MIDI interface. Emulator DVS won the DJ Mag Tech Award for Most Innovative DJ Product in 2011. They are no longer sold or supported.
Elephant and Chameleon
The products that followed
Elephant and Chameleon took the same idea further for musicians, DJs and live performers. They are no longer sold or supported. The old forum threads stay online as an archive, because many answers there are still useful.
Zonea
Today
Everything learned in those years, rebuilt from scratch: MIDI, OSC, HTTP and OBS natively, live video inside your controls, one license for Windows, macOS and Linux, and a free trial with no time limit: Performance mode runs on pages 1 and 2, design mode is fully open.
Where to go next
Three links, depending on what you came for.
Licenses of the old products cannot be transferred to Zonea, because it is a different product built from scratch. If you owned one of them and have a question, write to us.
